MasqTap Usage Guidelines & Limits
MasqTap is designed for short-term, purposeful social connections. The following guidelines and limits help keep connections lightweight, reliable, and easy to manage.
These limits apply to standard MasqTap usage and help support the app's temporary, privacy-first design.
Connections & Events
- You can create up to 2 Masquerade Balls per device.
- You can join up to 4 Masquerade Balls per device.
- You can have up to 6 Jump connections per device.
- You can have up to 6 Catch connections per device. Each Jump & Catch connection lasts up to 1 day.
- A standard Masquerade Ball can accommodate up to 30 participants.
- Ball names must contain between 10 and 50 characters.
- Nicknames must contain between 2 and 18 characters.
Messages & Media
- Each text message can contain up to 500 characters.
- Each voice message can be up to 120 seconds long.
- Each video clip can be up to 80 MB and up to 60 seconds long.
Media Quality & Language
- Photos are kept at their original resolution without additional compression by MasqTap.
- Videos are kept at their original resolution without additional compression by MasqTap.
- Voice recordings are kept without additional compression by MasqTap.
- Text messages can be written in any language.
